Personal Statement
Anxiety, hopelessness, depression, ADHD, and job and school-related issues can deny children, teenagers and adults the lives they wish to live. As an educator, counsellor and therapist, I have worked with all ages of people to help reduce the impact of issues negatively affecting them and helped them to discover and pursue more fulfilling lives. I provide a highly positive, strength-based, educational and thought-changing style of therapy in a safe, respectful and engaging environment.
I have worked for many years in the field of ADHD with children, adolescents and adults. Understanding the many sides of ADHD is important not only to those with ADHD, but also to the people in their lives, therefore current and relevant education is a large part of the ADHD counselling and coaching approach I employ.
I also work with individuals with learning disorders and intellectual and physical disabilities. I bring a “whole-person” approach in working with people to achieve their goal of living with more balance, purpose and fulfillment.
As a licensed educator and a licensed therapist, I bring a unique perspective to working with children, adolescents and adults. I am deeply familiar with the school system and the challenges today’s youth encounter. I can also assist with career counselling and executive decision-making skills.
